As per all chemical exfoliants, it is best to apply a few drops of this on a clean, just washed face for it to work the most effectively. If you are a little unsure about a the strength or how your skin will respond, then you can apply it with a layer of toner underneath.
Afterwards, leave it on for about 20 mins. There is no need to wash off. Proceed with the rest of your routine. Use 1-3 times a week.
For those with more sensitive skin, you can do the following: put the exfoliator on after toner, limit the amount of time you leave the exfoliant on, limit the days you use this a week, and wash off the exfoliator.
Ingredients: Pure Water, DL-Mandelic Acid, Butylene Glycol, PEG-8, Centella Asiatica Extract, Phyllanthus Emblica Extract, Silybum Marianum Extract, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben
This product works beautiful with my skin, it doesn’t have a scent, which I love, because scented products can be more irritating to the skin. It is very gentle and doesn’t dry my skin but helps with my hyperpigmentation and texture. It isn’t my main chemical exfoliant, I need to use a BHA to really treat my acne. I use this one more for maintaining my skin heath without drying it out.
The only issue I have with it is the amount of product you get for the price. You only get 15 ml for 24$ USD and as a Canadian, I end up paying 30-35$ CAD which is expensive for only 15 ml. Still, I am planing on repurchasing this product because it has been very beneficial to my skin.
I struggled with little bumps on my skin that would start out small and sometimes turn into whiteheads or red pimples. I've followed the instructions in the description and use it 2-3 times a week and my bumps have really subsided and my skin feels sooo smooth! This is the first time I've tried mandelic acid and I'm sold
